"12 YEARS A SLAVE" BEST PICTURE OSCAR 2014 IN 86TH ED. ÓSCAR A LA MEJOR PELÍCULA PARA "12 AÑOS DE ESCLAVITUD" EN SU 86ª EDICIÓN.

"12 YEARS A SLAVE" finally was awarded with the most important Oscar in this 86th edition, the one dealing with Best Picture category, directed by Steve McQueen. We share his interview on the right column in this blogpage. Kenian actress Lupita Nyong'o achieved in the same film the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Oscar. "GRAVITY" aroused on top of the Oscars 2014 as most prized: Directing for the mexican Alfonso Cuarón, the first latin american awarded in this category. In addition the film won all of the six technical awards he strived for. David O. Russell's "AMERICAN HUSTLE" and Martin Scorsese's "THE WOLF OF WALL STREET", in spite of their nominations (10 and 5), they fell in disappointment and failure feelings. Oscars in this year broadly happened to be as they were expected. Cate Blanchett attained Best Actress in a Leading Role by her oustanding performance, brilliant, coherent and complex at the same time, in Woddy Allen's "BLUE JASMINE". Matthew MacConaughey was the other one with best expectations to rise the Actor in a Leading Role Oscar despite of last chattering with the deserved insistence in Leonardo Di Caprio's multiple nominations, playing his eccentric role in "THE WOLF OF WALL STREET". Once again the balance fell onto the appalling physical changes in film history, depicted here in the homophobic texan sicked with AIDS with the leading role in "DALLAS BUYERS CLUB". This picture turned into awards all of its nominations: Best Actor in a Leading Role and in a Supporting Role for Jared Leto in his perfect role as a transgender patient, recalling Venezuela and Ucrania in his speech, and the Oscar for the best Make Up and Hair Styling.
